How to Record Audio?

Introduction

The Sound Editor Deluxe is a program designed to record audio from any source like a microphone, record player, streaming audio, tape recorder, phone conversation, VCR, etc. through your computer's line-in. With this typical audio editing and recording software, recording a piece of time, a conversation, a course or a lecture in real time will never be the hassle! At the same time, you are allowed to output the recording as MP3/WMA/WAV, without creating any temp files. Download Sound Editor Deluxe to record audio you hear.

1. Activate Audio Recorder Window

Launch Sound Editor Deluxe. Click "New Record" and select Sample Rate and Channels of your choice . Then click "OK" to activate the audio recorder window.

2. Select Sound Source and Sound Card

Choose the sound source and select a proper sound card in your system. The names of the sound source to record streaming audios maybe different in various operating systems, usually named as Stereo Mix, Phone Line, Aux Volume, Video Volume, Mic Volume, Line In, CD Audio and so on.

3. Adjust Recording Settings

Now start the playback of the audio file that you want to record. Then you can see wave variations in the wave pattern. Drag the slider to adjust the recording volume . Set a specific time by clicking "Timer Record" to automatically start recording. You also have the power to record without silence .

4. Start Recording

After everything is set, please click the red round record button in audio recorder to start recording. To stop the recording, click "Pause" . Then, click "Keep" to input the recording to the waveform window of audio editor.

5. Output the Recording

Now, the recording is displayed in the waveform window, you can use editing function to edit it or add audio effects to meet your demands. Click the "Save - Save File As" button to save the recording in the format/location you want and adjust the quality.
